Attending the University of Iowa does wonders for a person’s creative writing. It’s inspiring just to be near so many greats.

One of my short stories, “Passion for the Void,” was published in Wilder Things‘ Volume 7. I felt so lucky to be a part of the issue, and the experience was so lovely I applied to join their staff. I’m thrilled to be the magazine’s web editor for the 2024/2025 academic year.

I have always loved reading short stories (by the likes of Lucia Berlin, Clarice Lispector, and Shirley Jackson), so maybe that’s why writing them feels so natural. I’m currently honing two more, and I look forward to posting them here.
